Use your tech expertise to make a difference for humanity!  SystemOne is looking for an accomplished .NET Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team to ensure the functionality, performance, availability, and security of our Infection Disease Monitoring platform, Aspect, and its IoT data feeds.

As a .NET Engineer at SystemOne, you will build and design scalable and high performance code that extracts data from instruments at clinics and laboratories, and feeds the data into our distributed diagnostic network platform. We use agile methodologies to develop our code, working in 2-week sprints, to continuously deliver customer value.  This position reports to our Director of Engineering.

Requirements - Technical

  • Strong understanding of the .NET ecosystem (C#).

  • Experience with .NET Core for cross-platform application development.

  • Expertise in ASP.NET, MVC, and Web API.

  • Knowledge of front-end technologies like HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue.js).

  • Strong knowledge of SQL Server, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and performance optimization.

  • Experience with Entity Framework (EF Core).

  • Proficiency with cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure or AWS for application deployment, scaling, and monitoring.

  • Experience working in Agile teams with tools like YouTrack, JIRA or others. We use YouTrack.

  • Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs, Familiarity with GraphQL is a plus.

  • Expertise in managing data synchronization between on-premise systems, cloud infrastructure, and remote devices.

  • Expertise in building offline-first applications using frameworks like Service Workers for web apps, or local databases (e.g., SQLite) for desktop applications.

  • Proficient in implementing conflict resolution strategies to manage and merge data conflicts when synchronizing after periods of offline use.

  • Expertise in bi-directional data synchronization between desktop apps and cloud or on-premise databases.

  • Knowledge of API versioning, security, and optimization for offline sync and remote data access.


Experience & Leadership Skills:

  • 7+ years of experience in .NET development, with proven expertise in delivering high-quality solutions.

  • Mentoring and coaching junior developers, leading code reviews, and contributing to architectural decisions.

  • Excellent understanding of SDLC, with experience in requirements gathering, design, development, and deployment.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude toward technical challenges.


Soft Skills:

  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (design, QA, product).

  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and tools as required.

The team is remotely distributed across Asia, Europe, Africa & the Americas.  We use Agile/scrum development processes in 2-week sprint cycles.  The team, and this position is entirely remote.
